One of our popular upgrades is our Solar Mesh. The Solar mesh that we provide at Kraft Screens is Phifer SunTex. It comes in five different colors, Black, Brown, Stucco, Dark Bronze, and Beige. Within those colors you have two choices of either 80% or 90% Solar. What the percentages mean is that it blocks 80-90% of the sun’s hot rays before they enter your windows. The ideal application for solar mesh is on windows, doors, and porches.
The benefits of solar mesh is immense. The main and most obvious one is the fact that it keeps your house or living area cooler by blocking the hot rays. The fabric consists of strong vinyl-coated polyester. Which makes it strong enough to be pet resistant. It produces excellent outward visibility while also adding daytime privacy. Our solar mesh can also be used to protect your house hold furnishing against fading and sun rot. Solar mesh protects against insects, while still allowing good ventilation. It is mildew and fade resistant and the only upkeep that it requires is an occasional cleaning with mild soap and water.
